Shit franchise will remain. The only piece they have for the future is Sabonis. Murray has regressed bigtime. He is essentially just a guy who can hit 3’s now and he can’t even do that. Dude has an ugly statline

As good as Sabonis is…

He isn’t so young anymore. Has years of prime basketball left for sure.

But the Kings are totally wasting it.

At some point they need to trade him and start over.

Starting to think about life after Bron.

Luka might try and lure his buddy to the Lakers. One Mr Jokic, superstar C. Has a player option for '27-28. He could turn down that almost 63 mill and come play with his good friend. The Lakers could pay him well. He might be 32 then but his game translates well into an older player. Scorer, shooter, passer, and rebounder. Not some super freakish athlete that can't age gracefully.

They would need some wing defenders and shooters....don't want to even think about whom will be available then.

Watching the entire press conference of Luka being introduced with the Lakers.....

Seen him play of course but never seen him talk at length before (other than brief post game interviews).....question for the NBA fans on here.....do you think he fits in Los Angeles? Only asking because he is very soft spoken and not as outgoing as Magic, Shaq, Kobe or Bron....he's similar to Pau Gasol but Gasol was the #2 and Luka is being brought in as the future face of the franchise and #1.

Tagging @UK Cowboy because you're a Mavs fan and may have more insight on him. But, of course anybody can give their opinion.

Part of me is worrying now that he could leave if he doesn't like it here or the spotlight that the Lakers brings.

Like Dallas is the only place he could leave for.....almost any team in the League would love to have him.

It doesn’t mean he would love them. You can immediately cross out AT LEAST half the league

IMO I don’t think how he presents himself to the public and media is a big deal

It is how he is behind closed doors of the locker room

He brings fire to the court and even if he is soft spoken in the locker room the fire he brings to the court and his offense of course can still be leadership material to the team
If he is out there producing and playing with the fire he has played with through his career his teammates will follow him and listen even if what he says is soft spoken
Actions speak louder than words sort of thing

I don’t think it will happen though until Lebron retires because Lebron is such a dominating presence
I’m not saying that is a bad thing
The trade was a no brainer for LA
I think Doncic fits
But there is going to be a “with LeBron” Doncic and a “After LeBron” Doncic

A couple of caveats:

- it also depends who the Lakers surround Doncic with - they need to be complementary to Doncic’s play and personality

- Doncic can’t whine though - that will lose the team after LeBron retires

Hachimura, Reaves, Kleber, Vincent, a 1st rounder and 2nd for KD.

G-Doncic/Milton/Bronny James
G-Knecht/Milton/Reddish
F-KD/Reddish
F-James/DFS/Vandy/Morris
C-Hayes//Wood/Koloko

Everybody can hit the 3 in the starting lineup, except for Hayes.
Nope. I wouldn't do that trade because KD is aging and the players the Lakers would be giving-up are all youngsters. They would help the Suns to get better while the Lakers would have to attend to an aging KD who can be more injury-prone than ever before. He is not in the same shape as James. That would be a bad trade. Period.

I wasn't being 100% serious. No chance the Suns would accept it anyway.
