It isn’t uncommon for public figures from other areas to transition to politics. I don’t think that is new and I don’t think it started with Reagan.

But Reagan was a serious man and good leader whether or not you agree with his policy.

Reagan was also the governor of the largest state for a couple terms so not straight from entertainment to the White House like Trump.
