Luka and LeBron are not complimentary and neither plays defense. But I'm one of the few pointing this out.

LeBron can still be a good defender but he plays too many minutes so he loafs alot on the defensive end.
Maybe this move allows him to play less minutes and give more defensive effort when he's on the floor.
I'm not sure Luka has the physical ability to be a better defender.

We already did. Now that he’s finally declining I did a “where does Steph rank all time” thread. This season is the beginning of the end, I suspect he plays out the contract and retires after 2027 but who knows.

Many have said the Lakers got worse this year here, they are thinking post LeBron and you can’t turn down Luka for so little given up. He’s 25.
