AD is not suited to be the Laker's #1 as LeBron declines and plays less minutes.

Which is why the Lakers traded him - It's not like Pelinka was shopping him - This deal fell into Pelinka's lap and fortunately Pelinka was smart enough to say Yes - Luka - is the future -and Davis was a concern after Lebron which equals smart trade

The story from Ramona Shelburne is that they wanted AD and they wanted the trade done quickly and quietly. They knew the Lakers would say yes if Luka was involved because of their previous inquiries into AD's availability. They may have contacted another team as a backup in case the Lakers had changed their mind...but from what she said...AD was the guy they wanted and have for a jackals.

Then at minimum Nico is exceptionally poor at evaluating what he should have got for Luka.
