Mark Cuban is making a move just to help out LA?

One of the few bigs who has ever had multiple games of 40 and 20.But at the end of the day, that’s a terrible way for an organization to conduct their business. Any organization that is coming into something saying “let me hedge in case I fail” should just pack it in. You’re going to actualize your failure if you think that way. Parting with a guy on the back end of his career for a 25 year old generational talent is a no brainer. Personally, I think without LeBron, AD is an expensive albatross for the Lakers to carry into their future. He’s not an alpha or a Batman. I don’t think he ever was. He’s definitely not now.
I think Cuban has been out though with the Mavs right? If this is on the up and up they have to think they can win this year or next. Either that or there’s stuff going on with Luka being unhappy we don’t know about. Lastly maybe Silver has pictures of Cuban. Those are the options.
Possible but doubtful. The Thunder would not have been interested in gutting the team for him, that’s for certain. In fact I’m not sure they would do a straight up Luka for Shai trade at this point.Have we not learned anything? what makes you think this has not been going on for a bit and they have shopped him to others? Because some reporter didn't tell us?
Neat. I said what I said. He was the alpha in New Orleans and that was a fringe playoff team good for the occasional first round playoff win.One of the few bigs who has ever had multiple games of 40 and 20.
Well supposedly he is still in charge I thought but who knows. Welcome back man, I’m just back from a week in Japan so I’m still getting acclimated. Quite a place, loved it there.I think Cuban has been out though with the Mavs right?
How soon after he gets back is he trading our young stars for his older friends?Maybe back to Cleveland...?
He is better than you think.Neat. I said what I said. He was the alpha in New Orleans and that was a fringe playoff team good for the occasional first round playoff win.
My mom went with students 4 summers ago and said it was the most unique place she’s ever visited. Your Thunder are looking good. Makes up for the fact that Sooner football is @ dead.Well supposedly he is still in charge I thought but who knows. Welcome back man, I’m just back from a week in Japan so I’m still getting acclimated. Quite a place, loved it there.
Now a minority owner, not majority.I think Cuban has been out though with the Mavs right?
oh, the irony. This is so stupid. AD is a hurt, old big. Career basically over. Luka just getting started.
Maybe you are paid to post stupid NBA takes. The league likes your conversation, phony.
He’s a great second star who has a compiling injury history. I just said he isn’t an alpha. I don’t think a post-LeBron era rebuild around AD would have netted the Lakers much of anything. I think 25 year old Luka presents a situation wherein they could compete for championships. My team doesn’t have the Lakers pedigree of championships. I thought that was the Main Thing for that franchise so that’s where I’m coming from. I’m not saying dude sucks or anything. I’m saying he’s not the Batman on a championship team.He is better than you think.
People always want to proclaim a winner right away when in reality we won't know the winner for a while. My bad. I assumed that this sentiment was a given. This applies to every team and every situation in the NBA, hell all of professional sports. All we can do is look at this deal and judge it singularly in this time and place. I think it’s very clear the Lakers won this trade. You’re right though in that ultimate success doesn’t come from a single transaction but in a glut of transactions - leadership, role players, complementary stars, etc…
LOL.oh, the irony.
They actually could trade say Gafford and Marshall for a 3 and D wing defender.....maybe get back a cheap backup C. @tlance's idea. And - I stand corrected on the Draft picks. After this trade the 2027 draft is the only one they don’t have a 1st rounder in.
Thanks Dallas Morning News
I think they’re a clear winner.People always want to proclaim a winner right away when in reality we won't know the winner for a while.
Right now it looks like the Lakers are the winner but we shall see....
How is my comment doubtful? You think, what, Dallas came up with the idea to deal Luka yesterday and made one call?Possible but doubtful. The Thunder would not have been interested in gutting the team for him, that’s for certain. In fact I’m not sure they would do a straight up Luka for Shai trade at this point.

Keep Lively to pair with AD in the frontcourt.
I just don’t think there has been much if any talks at all with other teams. Likely none in fact. How is my comment doubtful? You think, what, Dallas came up with the idea to deal Luka yesterday and made one call?
