If they want to restart the game with 15.6 seconds left have at it. But the foul shot created from the technical has to count because they happened. So the score is tied, let’s do it.

Why couldn't they? If the techs were because he was arguing about the TO, those techs don't happen if the TO is granted.

I disagree. If they do decide to replay (highly unlikely) the technical fouls were a direct result of the inexcusable game administration (again if investigation deems that officials should have been responsible to grant the time outs). The replay is essentially saying we go back in time to that moment and we grant the time out. If the time out is granted and that’s the replay point the technical foul shots awarded should not count.

Portland "should" win the review, but they wont. The league is not going to allow them to open Pandoras box.

If they do this, what they’re saying is that nothing at all that happened after the time out attempt. The techs don’t exist. The bucket with 2 seconds left doesn’t exist.

With Vegas involved in sports even more so now than back in 2008 when this last happened. I do NOT see the NBA allowing this to be replayed. How much $$ would Vegas and all sports betting apps lose if the outcome changes.

I think a big factor is going to be do the Blazers and Thunder have another game scheduled this year and is it on the same court this one was played.

It'll be interesting. They've replayed the ends of games before. I'd expect that it'll depend on if there's a camera angle that clearly shows Chauncey calling timeout.

It would be a logistical nightmare and Vegas taking a bath. They’re unlikely to remove winnings from players accounts. They’d likely just make the game a no play and return the value of the bet to the better. This is a nightmare for Vegas. They would take a bath on this one. They would have paid out the winners and given the losers their money back.

It would be hilarious.

Which is how it's been on the few times they've done it. They would restart the game from the moment of Chaunceys TO call and replay it.

Can’t agree with that, lots of guilty people thought they had reasons for what they did. The actions to cause the technicals still happened.

No you simply can’t ignore the technicals, that can’t happen.

A technical is a willful action, can’t wipe it out.

No. Wrong

Yeah, not sure where he got that. It's not uncommon at all for the NBA to rescind a technical foul. They don't take away the points in those cases. But they'd have to in this one because of when they occurred.

I’m just saying what I think is right obviously. The only thing that matters in the point created by the technical. The league would never say no your actions don’t count because you had reasons. That would not be right.
