You simply can’t mitigate the technical fouls, you can’t act like they didn’t happen.yes, it's rare for the nba to do the right thing
Conflicting reports on this. For one, I didn't know CNN Sports was still a thing. Everyone else saying its not a done deal.
But I hope it is. I really need to see the Bucks lose to Philly in the 2nd round after blowing a 3-1 lead
That is literally their job. It isn’t on the players or coaches if they did everything right. This should be reviewable, an official review, in the future. The referees can’t call what they don’t see, that’s the oldest truth in the game.
Why do you think he got the T? Bc he was arguing about calling a TO.You simply can’t mitigate the technical fouls, you can’t act like they didn’t happen.
Like I just said you can’t wipe out the technical fouls, they happened. That is literally their job. It isn’t on the players or coaches if they did everything right. This should be reviewable, an official review, in the future.
This not only took away possible points from POR but it gave points to OKC. Easy fix. Replay end of game next time they play.
The ref should be fined or suspended
I doubt anything happens but hypothetically, if the league found this correct what would happen would they really change the result?
It doesn’t matter, things don’t go away because of reasons, it happened. Obviously whatever the league says goes here but we all know bad calls happen all the time. Why do you think he got the T? Bc he was arguing about calling a TO.
You are way off here.
Now if they determine he didn’t call it before the play then the discussion is over.
Give me a break that’s not happening. He obviously said the magic words. Just one game it’s over.
If it does it does, this one is a lot different than losing track of how many fouls Shaq had.Actually, it can and has.
Yes, the next time they play they'd start by replaying the last 15.6 seconds. Last time I remember it happening was, I believe, in the 80's or 90's.
Oh the league is going to dodge doing the right thing here 100%If it does it does, this one is a lot different than losing track of how many fouls Shaq had.
You probably shouldn’t watchOh the league is going to dodge doing the right thing here 100%
It’s what they do
Not really. Both mistakes are unacceptable game administration mistakes. You can’t have the scorers table getting the personal fouls recorded wrong. You can’t have officials that miss a blatant time out call (if it’s deemed to be so by the investigation). This is very different from a bad call that comes from officials judgment of an in play action on the court. If it does it does, this one is a lot different than losing track of how many fouls Shaq had.
Article I posted said 2008
You probably shouldn’t watch
I disagree. If they do decide to replay (highly unlikely) the technical fouls were a direct result of the inexcusable game administration (again if investigation deems that officials should have been responsible to grant the time outs). The replay is essentially saying we go back in time to that moment and we grant the time out. If the time out is granted and that’s the replay point the technical foul shots awarded should not count. If they want to restart the game with 15.6 seconds left have at it. But the foul shot created from the technical has to count because they happened. So the score is tied, let’s do it.
It happened to Miami in 2008. I remember this game. I didnt realize it was the last time it happened tho. The next time the 2 teams played they started from that point.Yes, the next time they play they'd start by replaying the last 15.6 seconds. Last time I remember it happening was, I believe, in the 80's or 90's.
