Yeah, not sure where he got that. It's not uncommon at all for the NBA to rescind a technical foul. They don't take away the points in those cases. But they'd have to in this one because of when they occurred.

Can’t agree with that, lots of guilty people thought they had reasons for what they did. The actions to cause the technicals still happened.
If they decide to replay…no they didn’t. Everything that occurs after the time out should have been granted doesn’t exist in this crazy new world the ruling creates. There’s absolutely no logical justification in the world wherein those techs would stand if they indeed decide that the game’s last 16 seconds should be replayed.

You really don’t have a leg to stand on here. You’re tethered to an illogical supposition. Nothing that occurred after the replay moment exists if that’s the decision.

I guess billups should have really got his moneys worth then huh? Free reign, make people pay. That’s a ridiculous take.

You’re going to need to bring a better argument. This is just your desired conclusion. It lacks any reasoning or logic attached to it to justify your conclusion.
My argument is as sound as they come, the league rescinds technicals but never the points created by them.

I’m just saying what I think is right obviously. The only thing that matters in the point created by the technical. The league would never say no your actions don’t count because you had reasons. That would not be right.

The missed TO occurred prior to the technical fouls. If they restart the game from the point of the timeout, they go back to the same score, same time on the clock, same players on the floor, etc. They play it as if nothing occurred after that point.

They can't say "We're restarting the game as if nothing happened after the TO except for those techs...those still happened".

That’s one take, another is that Billiups shouldn’t have reacted the way he did and earned what he got.

Part of the reason nothing is going to happen
And this is the thing you should be hanging your hat on here to get your desired outcome. In the end, the logistics plus the gambling impact may be too much of a conundrum that they create just to replay a circumstance where a team with aspirations and success has to replay a team that’s tanking.

My main point guys is the technicals muddy the waters to the point that nothing is going to happen here.

If it’s a ridiculous take then why is it that the only person pushing back on the logic I’ve presented is the unabashed Thunder homer?

My desired outcome doesn’t matter, I’m a fan nothing more. I’m also smart enough to know what’s not going to happen here.

They do not muddy the waters once the league determines that a time out should have been granted. Root for logistical nightmare has the NBa say “meh…fuck it. We move on”.
