The 2023-2024 NBA Season

The schedule already isn’t balanced.

Most seasons the gap is a small number of games that may or may not be there every team played the same schedule.

Maybe HCA isn’t the answer.

But I hate that everyone here is basically giving up on the all star game like it can’t be fixed.

It is really only the last few years that it has become unwatchable.

I watch it every year.

But, I accept that it is what it is until the 4th quarter.

players used to care who won or lost. The dumb ass playground pick a team nonsense was horrendous and only furthered the problem.

Maybe make it so the winning team gets HCA in the in season tournament Championship.

Yup anytime there is a replay of an all star game back when MJ, Barkley, Malone etc were playing I watch. The games could be that good again.

But, you are missing the very obviousness of the situation.

The game isn’t the problem.

It’s the mentality of the players.

Everyone is buddy, buddy.

There are very few sports related rivalries.

There is no goddamn way Bird, Magic, Jordan or even Kobe would engage in this millennial fuckery, not even in the Allstar game.

They would be going at your throat.

Blame AAU.

Blame Sports Agencies like Klutch.

This is not a NBA problem.

It’s a generational failure to compete.

In one game it can be a bad matchup or a bad lineup combo. But yea...if over a season the lineups are a lot worse when you're in.....you're the problem.

He told a story the other day about a preseason and USA under 19 game with Wemby vs Chet.

He said they do NOT like each other.

Not even a little bit.

Not in a “ I literally hope you break a leg” sense.

But, in a “ I want to destroy you every single matchup “ way.

We need that fire again.

That’s what made Freak vs Wemby so good Thursday.
