The big money definitely changed sports. But life is about change. It's just a game.

A game = competition.

But…..The money is so astronomical, that SOME of these guys stop putting in the work after the 1st bag.

That’s what makes the Jordan’s, Kobe’s, Curry’s, Freaks so special.

One of the main reasons I don’t understand the irrational Lebron hate is because he doesn’t cheat the game.

He’s 40 fucking years old and he plays harder than guys half his age on most nights.

If the money wasn’t so crazy, contracts weren’t guaranteed….

You think Zion would have so many DNP-fat the first few years of his career?

You think George and Kawhi would have missed 50 % if the games the last 5 years?

Injury is one thing.

Exactly. I don't really see it as all that different than it used to be. They spend the first 3 quarters trying to "out highlight reel" each other, then somewhere in the 4th quarter their competitive natures kick in and they start trying to win.

Call me a traditionalist, but I couldn’t disagree more.

Great All star performances are a big part of NBA history. If the NBA all star game goes the way of the Pro Bowl I will be very disappointed.

This game has historically mattered more to player legacies than anything else in the regular season (outside of major awards for season long achievement).

Fans vote in mass for the biggest superstars because they want to see them play a majority of the game. Nobody is there to watch Paulo Banchero get 8 minutes of court time.

But, you are missing the very obviousness of the situation.

The game isn’t the problem.

It’s the mentality of the players.

Everyone is buddy, buddy.

There are very few sports related rivalries.

There is no goddamn way Bird, Magic, Jordan or even Kobe would engage in this millennial fuckery, not even in the Allstar game.

They would be going at your throat.

Blame AAU.
