Top 2 or 3 guys from each team usually at or near 30 minutes.

LeBron and Steph both played 36 in 2022. Tatum 35 last year.

Giannis played 20 seconds in the Allstar game.

It’s about the honor of being top of the food chain, not the minutes.

Nobody should be playing 30 minutes in an exhibition.

Call me a traditionalist, but I couldn’t disagree more.

Great All star performances are a big part of NBA history. If the NBA all star game goes the way of the Pro Bowl I will be very disappointed.

This game has historically mattered more to player legacies than anything else in the regular season (outside of major awards for season long achievement).

Fans vote in mass for the biggest superstars because they want to see them play a majority of the game. Nobody is there to watch Paulo Banchero get 8 minutes of court time.

Take a page out of the MLB playbook. Go back to East vs. West and grant the winning conference home court advantage in the Finals.

That is just enough to make players care about winning the game.

As I was watching last night in beginning, I was like ohh shit you got him now! And him too what the… y’all did your homework off season , and you fans are still not happy? You got players !!!! And if you’re not happy, you got bargaining tools . Dam

I’m “not happy” because I have a generational player in his prime and I haven’t enjoyed a title in my lifetime so the target is being one of the top 3-4 teams in the league and taking a shot in May and June. I’m viewing my team in that light.

Disagree with tying HCA in the finals to it.

I agree with the east vs west part but not the hca. Imagine if it was east vs west last year with the east winning and a 44 win Miami team got HCA over the top seed out west

The schedule already isn’t balanced.

Most seasons the gap is a small number of games that may or may not be there every team played the same schedule.

Maybe HCA isn’t the answer.

But I hate that everyone here is basically giving up on the all star game like it can’t be fixed.

It is really only the last few years that it has become unwatchable.

players used to care who won or lost. The dumb ass playground pick a team nonsense was horrendous and only furthered the problem.

Maybe make it so the winning team gets HCA in the in season tournament Championship.
