Fuck yes I'm doing that deal. That's a robbery. The question is why would Utah do it? Get Danny Ainge real drunk and once he signs off, lock him in a closet without his phone until the deal goes thru
They don't need Sexton with George and Clarkson on the roster.

I think they'd gladly shed the remaining 2 years of his deal.

Kelly will be UFA.

Getting a asset for guys not in your future plans makes sense.

Funny you ask that, I'm actually a fan of the Lakers getting Olynyk. I think he's ideal to spell AD as well as someone who could play alongside him.

D-Lo and Sexton have very similar numbers, but I think D-Lo might be slightly better defensively (at least he's making an effort lol).

But yeah, I'd do that trade, especially if Reaves could be kept...but I'd be more excited about getting Olynyk. lol
Kelly would be filthy next to Brow.

Kelly can score a little, rebound and pass. Does not need the ball in his hands a lot either.....

Yeah, but they're taking D'lo back. I think Sexton is quite a bit better player than D'lo and could fetch a higher price beyond what the Lakers could offer

I prefer this one.

Get Trader Danny on line one, Mecca!!!!
They are 5 games under .500 with teams li!e the Dubs, Lakers, Grizz playing awful because of varying personnel issues.

Those 3 teams will recover with health and lack of boneheaded suspensions.

What does the Jazz have to look forward to outside of the draft?

Collins is another guy they need to dump.

He has no impact on winning, unless you count the fact that he makes sure the team he plays for is likely going to lose.

Yeah, probably.

Just spitballing.

You would have had a better chance of landing him cheap before this stint....

"Guard Collin Sexton, who is among the Jazz players who could generate significant interest leading up to the February trade deadline, has scored at least 20 points in five straight games. He has averaged 25.6 points and 4.0 assists while shooting 53% from the floor during that stretch. That includes Sexton's first four starts of the season with Jordan Clarkson (hamstring) and Keyonte George (foot) sidelined. Sexton has taken advantage of his opportunities, scoring at least 26 points in each of those starts, helping the Jazz win three of their past four games."

And he's 40% from 3 over the past 2 seasons.
Can't pack the post against AD when you have a legitimate threat next to him to keep the defense honest.

Nobody gives a shit if Vando, Hayes roams the 3 PT line.

Can't sag off of Kelly to double without paying the price.

Jimmy is lucky he does what he do in the playoffs because him missing 20 plus games yearly is tiring and probably cost this team multiple top 3 seeds

It's just 1 game so far...but it looks like the Knicks-Raptors trade is gonna work out well for both teams.

O.G.A. is a stud the Knicks needed to give them a "legit big 3" (w/ Randle & Brunson)....while RJB & Quickley gives Toronto a nice 1-2 punch to help Siakam & Barnes.

AD and Lebron have been healthy, played most of the games, and playing well. Lakers are .500 on Jan 1. That's completely unacceptable. Every other player on this roster has been ass, though Reaves is starting to play better after a poor start. Darvin Ham has a done a terrible job coaching. Constant line up changes, no one knows their role, terrible in game management (leaves bad line ups in too long, slow to adjust, etc), consistently get punched in the mouth in the 1st quarter and have to play catch up (a telltale sign of bad prep). There's no real fixes here either. They could dump Ham, but its hard to get a new coach's system in mid-season, though you might pick up a few extra wins with better game management since Darvin is so bad at it. There's not much in the way for trades either. Lavine is not the answer. They're gonna have to get real creative about who they bring in. This team looks very much like an easy 1st round exit, probably can get bounced in the play in.

They badly need a PG that can defend and create. Reaves isn't a point, Russell is struggling hard and is likely gone if he doesn't kill his trade value and the rook isn't close to ready. Finally getting more home games in January, maybe that helps a little.

Question....

.....and think it through a second before giving in to the understandable first reaction of.....HELL NO.

Would you trade Dlo for Sexton if you could get Olynyk in the deal and still get to keep Reaves?

Obviously, you would have to include... say, Gabe and Hayes and filler.

But, I bet you could swing that for cheap.
I don't know that getting the better of Ainge twice in two years will be that easy. I'm not sure Sexton is the answer either. Make it Dunn and Olynyk and save DLo or Gabe for another deal
