No disagreement there. I also agree just because he said the plan is keep the core 4 together does not mean they would not deal one (or more) of them.

But this does not mean it couldn't be true about the FO and Allen.......and, hell, they could deal him even if on good terms.

Not too many guys above a good deal.

But really it all starts with what Mitchell wants anyway.

Only guy who might make me change my stance of no one is untouchable now might be Wemby.

Sure, the first thing that has to happen for Cavs is Mitchell says yes to signing a max offer or no to it. If he says yes and signs I'm sure he might be asked opinions on potential deals. If he says no then nothing he wants matters. I guess nothing might not be fair as still possible he does not sign extension and stays if Cavs want that.

I do happen to agree those who say he has more influence here than Lebron does in LA might be right.......but only because Lebron might only have 2-3 years left.

This is a hyped set of speculations. I don't know if the Thunder would want a player with his contract numbers to be added to a young, good roster that already has been in the playoffs. Why would the Thunder want a player who is in the twilight of his career and whose game numbers are declining?

What does the Lakers need a declining, oft-injured player like DeRozan for?? Only if AD and James approve. lol!

Oft injured? The last 3 seasons he's played 76, 74 and 79 games. Fewest he's ever played is 60.

He also averaged 28, 25 and 24 points. Been around 50% from the field the last 3 seasons too.

Only concern I'd have is he's not much of a 3 point shooter, but he doesn't shoot many either.

Would love to get him and the Lakers could definitely use him.

Problem is, to sign him as an FA, he'd have to take the TPMLE...he was just paid $28 million last year...don't see him taking $5.2 million when he could get at least around $20 million, maybe more from someone else.

The Lakers were his favorite team growing up and he's from LA. As the article suggested, maybe he takes the TPMLE so he could finally play for his hometown team, seems like there are DeRozan to the Lakers rumors just about every off-season, but I ain't holding my breath. lol

Yea well, TJF12, I thought the purpose of all of the proposed trades out there was that the Lakers were trying to improve their perimeter shooting including shooting and making threes by bringing in such shooters? Why would they then trade or sign a guy who doesn't do much three-point shooting? The money doesn't work either.

The Clipjoint closed the door on anymore speculation of Tyronn Lue going to the vacant Lakers' HC position.

The Lakers shot 38% from 3 last season. So, their 3-point shooting was fine. Better than it has been, maybe ever. DeRozan is really good in the midrange game. With what the Lakers have in paint scoring and if they can stay close to what they did from 3 this season...DeRozan could do a lot of damage with the midrange game.

Lebron, D-Lo, Rui and Prince all shot 40% or better from 3 and Reaves shot 37%.

Also, they can still make a trade or 2, if necessary.

As I said, I don't see them getting him, but they can definitely use him if he decides he's made enough money in his career.
