I knew that the Lakers perimeter shooting including threes did improve last season but I was unaware of the percentage change. Then the Lakers should change their tune and focus on the roster they have for continued improvement. Like you stated, if DeRozan wants to come to LA, I am sure they'll work something out but the Lakers are going to have to cut somebody's salary to make the numbers work. The Lakers shot 38% from 3 last season. So, their 3-point shooting was fine. Better than it has been, maybe ever. DeRozan is really good in the midrange game. With what the Lakers have in paint scoring and if they can stay close to what they did from 3 this season...DeRozan could do a lot of damage with the midrange game.
Lebron, D-Lo, Rui and Prince all shot 40% or better from 3 and Reaves shot 37%.
Also, they can still make a trade or 2, if necessary.
As I said, I don't see them getting him, but they can definitely use him if he decides he's made enough money in his career.

I doubt he would take less than the MLE...even though he is from CA. If he took the TPMLE that would be sweet. If I understood what I read correctly, they could sign him with their TPMLE without affecting anyone else's salary. But it would be a big haircut.
They might be able to do a sign and trade, but I'm not sure of the rules or if they'd want to use it on DeRozan.
I'm glad it didn't get called. LeBron got another ring (in a place that had never had one) and the Warriors got KD and created one of the few best teams to ever play together. I don't think they do it if they win back to back in 2016It was a hell of a goaltend to save the day

You read correctly, TJF12 and I firmly believe the Lakers are going to forego doing much trading this summer. They may accommodate DRuss if he wants out. That would be the only sign-and-trade I think the Lakers would be involved in and the return probably would not involve Young, Murray, or DeRozan. I think the Lakers are going to focus in on their new HC search and the draft. If I understood what I read correctly, they could sign him with their TPMLE without affecting anyone else's salary. No idea what their relationship might be but if Gilbert wants to swoop in with big money for him that would be OK.
If they called it KD is a Celtic…
So they definitely should’ve called it…
Paycut.Definitely would be, but like I said...that's a big haircut for him.
Grayson Allen too
It’s because he’s about to play a universal villain in the sports world. Some of you acting like kyrie was Roman reigns coming back from cancer and not just actually being the team cancer the last 7 years
Oh wow! Who could see this coming? The Celtics fan says don’t pick on the white guy, let me throw two black guys under the bus instead. In the nba it’s green and embiid at the top.
