can't win many games minus Embiid when Harris is 3 for 14
Harris has sucked the whole time Embiid's been out.

They tried to fuck us with him, but at least he steps it up in the playoffs.

Sixers have 17 games in March. If they can go 7-10 without Embiid they can hang around the 6-7 seed zone. They have 2 vs the Hornets, one vs the Nets, Raptors, and Grizzlies. Those 5 need to be wins and they need to find 2 more. That puts them at 40-35 for when Embiid comes back. I’m thinking Embiid plays in 8 of last 9 games. If they get to 45 that’s likely good enough for the 3 seed. That’s likely a first two rounds matchups with 2 of Cavs, Bucks, Knicks. With a healthy Embiid, I like the matchup in those series. The best playoff teams in the East are Heat and Celtics and they’re likely to be on the 1 line for the Celtics and the 4-5 line for the Heat.

This may actually be the best path for the Sixers. Embiid on moth balls for February and March grind. Time for a ramp up to basketball wind before playoffs. It’s just this simple. If Embiid is the 35/14 guy then the Sixers are a contender and home court doesn’t matter, seeding doesn’t matter. If Embiid is his playoff averages at 23/11 then the Sixers are just pretenders anyway.

You guys have your pick this Summer?

Maybe these stolen wins will have the God of the ping pong balls smile favorably on you.

Yeah, it's not like the Pistons are a playoff team. Of course, not the best year to be tanking (draft doesn't have an obvious prize), but still...

there has to be a very transparent discussion with Monty post season.

You've clearly hooked us for 80 mil

the appropriate thing here is to decide what you want to do for the next 5 years.

We can waste each other's time and ruin the prime of several players or you can decide you want to be here or leave.

Do we know that he and the Pistons don't already have an understanding about the "t" word this season?

I'd only give him two regular season games and not the last two. Two games 4-5 days a part, rest the last two (these are low energy games anyway, no need to be out there) and use round 1 to get all the way back.

This will be the plan for the rest of his career, play 40 games and get into the playoffs healthy. They will have to decide the right pacing for him, but the regular season doesn't matter at all.

Ideally he plays 7-8 games. Embiid is better without the layoffs and when he can get into a rhythm.

if they were intentionally tanking on that level they would've traded Bojan and Burks.

Nor would they have had the urgency they did to spend on him

He's going to hurt the knee again if he plays that many games on a still weak knee. Get the extra rest, get the extra rehab. That's two extra weeks I'm giving him over yours. A 65% Embiid is still a game changer.

They have to trick the league. That's what the rest of the franchises learned from the league's corrupt shenanigans with the Sixers front office.

it's a bad bad draft

bunch of French dudes. How many French dudes have panned out lol

Wemby

Coulibaly, Batum, Gobert, Diaw, Tony Parker, Ntilikina, Fournier and others

Not all end up stars, but there are probably more than you would think. Judging by nationality not really much different than judging by the helmet/jersey.
