And like you have been told countless times by numerous posters....

"Playoff basketball is different."
No shit? Really? Didn’t know that. I have posted articles of team members saying the exact same thing. Then yesterday someone else posts facts about the Thunder showing they are doing things literally no one else has done at this stage. Excuse me but I’m going to see the games played out. Bet against the Thunder at your own peril.

He "played" like 14 mins. He really just walked around some and then threw down a lay up line dunk. That's different than actually having to play a real game

And according to what I read this morning...it could possibly keep him out tonight. Haven't heard that he's definitely out. Plus, they have another game tomorrow, so it seems fairly likely that he would have sat for 1 anyway.

Okay, haven't seen that announcement yet. But haven't really looked for one. Just saw the other article early this morning.
I wouldn’t know either if he wasn’t listed as out in yahoo fantasy leagues.

Listening to a national writer on radio earlier talking about the all star game. He said Silver pulled out all the stops trying to get the guys to compete. Sent Byrd and Irving to the locker rooms talking about playing hard. He said the players basically sent a message that the only thing that would motivate them is money. He likened it to a sit down strike of sorts.

Just ignore the fact that the majority of the fanbase wanted to keep DLo because of his hot streak instead of improving at the position I guess?

He's trying hard to be the new "hot take" guy, I guess he really wants that rep.

lol

Okay, let's say they competed like you want them to and Shai suffers a season ending injury playing in a meaningless game. But hey...he competed in that meaningless game.

I find people bitching about who gets in and how they compete in All-Star games to be pretty silly. If you don't like it...don't watch. Based on the ratings...you won't be missed.

Personally, I watch the NFL, NBA and MLB ASG's, accept them for what they are and enjoy them.

Would I prefer that, for example, the NBA ASG was played like the worlds greatest pickup game? Hell yeah, all the way until Lebron or AD suffered some injury that put them out for awhile.

So they should play scared? He could get hurt in the first game back just the same. These same guys play pickup games during the offseason.

You could argue that a game vs the Pistons in December is meaningless too. Should Shai sit out that game?

Lots of good ones tonight

Suns/Mavs
Magic/Cavs
Lakers/Warriors
Knicks/Sixers

Lakers continue to find ways to short their roster. Hopefully Cam and/or Christie can play tonight. At least if they're going to need to play small a bit more tonight, it's against a team like the Warriors where that could work.
