Asking players to treat the AS game like a regular game is pretty crazy which is what he indirectly asked for
You don’t think having the best players in the world all together at once wouldn’t be great to see if they actually competed? Silver trying to keep these guys from killing the golden goose and he is the one involved in negotiations with the networks. Ever hear the stories of the dream team practices? Men compete, period.

It is called ALL STAR BREAK for a reason

This ain’t the Olympics so that’s irrelevant. You don’t think in team USA practices they compete?

With some of these guys now days I have my doubts. Last I checked it’s called the all star game. Time to quit playing it, that was an abomination.

lol

Okay, let's say they competed like you want them to and Shai suffers a season ending injury playing in a meaningless game. But hey...he competed in that meaningless game.

I find people bitching about who gets in and how they compete in All-Star games to be pretty silly. If you don't like it...don't watch. Based on the ratings...you won't be missed.

Personally, I watch the NFL, NBA and MLB ASG's, accept them for what they are and enjoy them.

Would I prefer that, for example, the NBA ASG was played like the worlds greatest pickup game? Hell yeah, all the way until Lebron or AD suffered some injury that put them out for awhile.

No player has ever been hurt seriously in an all star game. Kobe got a broken nose and laughed it off. I’m not suggesting they go to war the whole game but damn at least move your feet a little on defense and in the 4th let’s play some ball. Not much to ask.

I don’t know why you still lament a condition that’s existed for decades. At some point, you just need to write it off and move on. The All Star game is clearly not for you and that’s ok.

Once again it requires the game to be close enough entering the 4th for that to happen. Selective memory on here is comical. 2 of the last 5 games were decided by 2 or 3 points

We got a big one to start back what matters, Clippers in the OKC tonight. Heyward and Biyombo both available.

Anxious to see how well Heyward fits in. No reason to think he won’t pretty easily.
