So @bksballer89 posted some stuff yesterday about the Thunder ranking 2nd in FG% and 3P%, and they are 1st in FT%. He also pointed out that they are top 5 in both offensive and defensive rankings. I was listing to radio today and the subject of how all the talk is that if they were to reach the 2nd round it would be surprising to some. I get that, and history is what says that.

Here is some more history though that was pointed out. Since 1981 (all I had stats for) only 10 NBA champions have finished top 5 in both offense and defense. It was also said that no team has ever shot like this across the board and been a top 5 offensive and defensive team and not gone to the Conference championship. Very hard to confirm through stats, but it was said by someone I would trust.

So in a nutshell, IF, and it's a big IF, the Thunder keep shooting the ball like they have been history says they have more than a chance.

So anyone trying to act like this is just another young team coming up be advised, they may not be.
