The QMJHL just beat the Russian Selects 3-2 in game one of the Subway Super Series - The top line of Mantha - Drouin - Hudon lead the way for the Q tonight. Game got a little chippy in the final couple of minutes (spearing etc.).

Game 1 of the Subway (so-called) "Super Series" goes to Team QMJHL. The Q scored late to take a 3-2 lead. A few stupid penalties late took away most of the hope that the Russians might have had of making a comeback. Too bad. I was hoping this would goto a shootout. I think the Russians would have exposed Zach Fucale for being the over-rated goalie that he is if there was a shootout.

I thought that he was as a 16 year old rookie a couple of years ago but he hasn't really gotten any better since. He's not the best goalie in the Q at all, maybe not even top 5. His save % and GAA aren't that good, even with a good team in front of him. He gets lots of wins because they score lots of goals.

That was absolutely sick! Despite what the announcers said, he likely won't be in the CHL this season. Not sure of the whole story but Moncton Wildcats fans aren't holding their breath.

I don't know, but who thought this guy was a good choice in the first place (just a terrible singer, weak voice, off-key). Maybe you're right jstew, maybe he was picked to fail (lol).
