Portland was down 3-0 after 1, and 5-2 after 2.
came back to win 6-5 in overtime to force a game 7.

this one will be a doozy tomorrow night

Great comeback by Portland, very fun game to watch. Every time I think this series is over, the other team comes back. Shaw broadcast said home teams are 10-0 in game 7 of the WHL finals. Gotta give the edge to Portland.

Q final is also going 7 games between BC and VD. I couldn't be more indifferent as to who will win. I have no cause to like or dislike either team. I'll likely cheer for Guelph at the Memorial Cup though even though I can't name a single player on their team at this time. That's just because I have family there. Otherwise, I'd continue to be indifferent.

Here's an odd fact relating to the CHL that I just found out. I'd be surprised if many of you watched Big Brother Canada. I didn't see a second of it myself. But I just found out tonight that this year's winner, Jon Pardy, is a QMJHL alumni from Newfoundland. He played about 25 games for 2 teams over 2 season a few years back. Most of his junior career was spent in Junior A.

If Portland and Val-d'Or both win, this will be the second time a Memorial Cup will feature Portland, Val-d'Or and Guelph as all three of those teams also won their respective leagues in 1998.

Well Edmonton finds themselves in the exact same situation as last night, with a 3 goal lead going into the third period. Can they hold it this time? It'll be a historic win if they do.

Edmonton wins game 7 by a score of 4-2 and becomes the first team in WHL history to win game 7 of the finals on the road. Congrats to the Oil Kings! Now bring the Cup back West where it belongs.

Great win last night for the Oil Kings! Nice to see at least one Edmonton team still knows how to win

The Val D'Or Foreurs blow a 3-0 lead in the 3rd but score late to win 4-3 over the Baie Comeau Drakkar in Game 7 to advance to the Memorial Cup.

I'll be very surprised if the Q wins the Memorial Cup again this year. I would have thought that no matter who won the Q.

Anthony Mantha (Red Wings draft pick) has scored 81 goals this season (57 during the regular season and another 24 in the playoffs). Wowza.

So the channel guide on my TV says NHL network should be showing the Memorial Cup and the little bar at the bottom says you are watching Val-d'Or vs London. And what's actually on? NHL Live. Just fucking wonderful. :L
