Don Hay going back to coach kamloops???? that true??? Giants let him out of final year of his contract to go home?

wow

@KTWonBLAZERS: Don Hay will be the next head coach of the #Kamloops Blazers. It will be announced on Friday morning. #WHL @blazerhockey

Good for Don, he did a fine job with the Giants (*2007 Memorial Cup Champions) and they should have a pretty good team next season. He has some work to do with the Blazers, however.

wow indeed. Giants are turning a corner with Bensen a full-timer next year, and 5 picks in the top 40-something in today's draft.
figured they were aiming for another Memorial Cup run by 2016

So it would be fair to say that Guelph stormed back for the win tonight?

I'll be honest I didn't see this one coming. But Edmonton didn't get blown out in either of the two losses at Portland. The question is can Edmonton break Portland's 25 game home winning streak. They'll need to to win the series.

Attendance tonight only 6799 at Rexall Place - Portland was drawing over 10,000 for games 1 and 2.

thats because edmonton is swept up in Amway Cdn Championship fever and turned out in big numbers to watch their hometown NASL eddies defeat the MLS Impact

*watches highlights and sees empty Clarke Stadium*

ok ... maybe not :noidea:

Edmonton has won three straight to take a 3-2 series lead in the WHL Championship series. I for one am very surprised.

Wow. Portland picked a bad time to lose a game at home. Big props to Edmonton. After Portland dispatched Kelowna in 5, and quite frankly made it look easy, I didn't think anyone was even close to the Winterhawks' level. We'll see if Edmonton can close it out at home, where they themselves are undefeated in the postseason.

Also, regardless of outcome, this will be the Oil Kings' last home game of the season. Rexall Place should be sold out. But they probably won't even get 10K. It's really too bad, the Oil Kings are a better product right now than the Oilers. Hockey fans in Edmonton are really missing out IMO. I hope the city of Edmonton proves me wrong and shows up.
