While I agree he should have done more, wasn't much to do. He could have given up Profar and the rest of the farm for J Upton, but other than that no one would talk. He got the best pitcher at the deadline and got a RF bat for very little. I also don't blame Wash though. Considering the garbage going on with this team in the offseason and through the year, he did ok. You lose your two power hitters as well as the clubhouse leader yet still are in the race going into September? You are pretty much forced to play David Murphy every other day? Your rotation is killed by injuries all year? We were still in it at the end.

I think Wash and Jon are safe, but we need to cut a lot of crap from the team and get some replacements in, even if it means selling the young guys.

I honestly didn't even expect them to compete for the playoffs this year. Although I think Wash is lacking strategically, he has a way of getting the best out of his players.

I can understand why you would feel that way, but you're like, the ONLY yankee fan that comes to this thread these days. I'd wager that most of the baseball fans outside of NY didn't watch last night, are ready for him to be gone, and are more focused on the remaining playoff positioning.

If I had lead off with Mo, you'd maybe have said I was obsessed. Can't win.

I liked the kid coming out of OK, and honestly he's got the absolute worst OC money can buy, but I get the feeling he's going to be hanging with Mark Sanchez in the broadcast booth soon. He's taken a huge beating behind some horrible O-lines and he looks like a rookie at times.

Think Jeff Fisher is taking a long look at Teddy Bridgewater already.
