Texas Rangers vs Houston Astros 9/23-9/25

So were gonna have to go 6-1 for me to have anything resembling a decent feeling about the wild card game.

Even 6-1 probably gets us a playoff game just to get to a WC game. Now that would be interesting.

I grew up in Albuquerque, spent many evenings watching the old Dukes growing up...some great Dodger players came through there...

Now the Isotopes but back as the Dodgers triple A affiliate. Awesome park and we've been able to see quite a few good ones lately as well. Love the fact that they play Round Rock quite a bit.

Depends on who we end up tied with. I think a tie breaker regarding the season series takes presedence there. Ie we own the series against Tampa so if we were tied with Tampa for the last spot we'd get in.

Yea, one o the things we always tell military dudes that are in town for a few days to do on their off duty is to take the breaking bad tour. It's a good tour of quite a few of the filming locations and sets. Very popular and the guys always report enjoying the tour so if you're ever in ABQ, I highly recommend it.

Romeo, the way I understand it, the only use of the the season series as a tiebreaker would be for home field. All ties for playoff spots are played as one game playoffs. The rangers could have to win a one game playoff just to get into the one game wild card playoff.

I thought it just determined where the playoff game would be. Tie with Cleveland..we go to Cleveland. Tie with Tampa...Tampa comes to Arlington. I think only teams tied atop the division are broken by who won the season series. I could be wrong.

Two-Club Tie for One Wild Card Spot:
One tiebreak game will be played on Monday. Sept. 30 (tentatively) to determine the Wild Card. Home field advantage will be determined by the rules above for a two-team tiebreaker.
