I'm feeling pretty good about where we are half way and also think JD is going to come through for this team...wasn't too sure he would do enough, but I like the talk I'm hearing. We're too close in this division not to give it a serious run, and I'm confident JD knows that.

I kept saying all season, just stay close.... and remarkably, with all the pitching going down, we've done it.

He would simply be the throw in. Example, the sox would need somebody to plug into the OF just for the rest of the year if they traded us rios. They're not planning on contending, so it doesn't matter how bad he is. We might have to eat some of his salary though.
