From Shawn McFarland:

Dustin Harris just clobbered a 97 mph fastball from Brewers prospect Jacob Misiorowski into right field. Wish we had StatCast here because that was a blast.

Bruce Bochy said this morning that Harris put some (good) weight on this winter. That's why.

After what happened after I mentioned Heuer last time. I decided not to say anything about him pitching today. So he goes out and pitches better today than any of the other six pitchers who pitched before him. You're welcome, Codi.
Sandler mentioned Codi Heuer after the game as someone who he thinks will impact our bullpen at some point this season.

The strong winds didn’t help; the home run that Brice Turang hit off of Rocker in the first inning initially looked like a routine fly ball before it continued to carry and forced center fielder Evan Carter to backpedal to the wall and jump.

“That’s some tough luck,” Bochy said.

The ball seams have nothing to grip in thin air, I found that out the first time we played in Colorado Springs...

From Shawn McFarland:

Rangers top prospect Sebastian Walcott replaced Seager at shortstop midway through Sunday’s game and proceeded to hit a ball harder than nearly any Texas batter did last season.

Walcott hit a groundball to shortstop in the bottom of the seventh inning that carried an exit velocity of 115.1 mph. For reference, the Rangers had just one batted ball hit harder all season; Adolis García hit a 116.1 mph double in May against the Athletics. Walcott reached on an error when shortstop Conner Kaiser’s throw to first base was short. Walcott also made two errors in the field. Such is life for an 18-year-old.
