He buys into my tandem theory. I did not know Crouse was outrighted. Will agree with the crowd unless something drastic changes, he seems better than Howard

The market is what it is. What it is is a lot different than it has been in the past, but then almost every year it is like that. The going rate is what you have to pay for amy position. That is why it is very, very important that we keep as many of our prospects as we can, in order to have a good percentage or relatively cheap players.

I am wondering if it may be a tad premature to say that Odorizzy is permanently limited to 20 something batters per outing. If he was 42 that might be in order, but he is 32. Lots of guys workloads were watched carefully post Covid. He may get here and get into the 6th and 7th inning on a regular basis. We shall see.

Meanwhile Mr. Burke needs to be starter depth while we employ actual relievers to man the pen.

Duran has started playing in the Dominican Winter League. He played CF tonight.

Duran played 3B in his first game yesterday.

After 2 games he is 3 for 7 with a double and a home run.

I think he is going to be a special player some day soon.

At the AFL Championship game tonight, Acuna and Hauver came up with 2 runners on and the game tied at 4 in the 7th inning. Both of them struck out.

What if we had a few multi inning effective relievers. The tax on relievers were these bullpen games every 5th game in addition to other regular appearances

Of course having 5 guys who can regularly pitch 6 - 8 innings is ideal but now rare

The team seems to have 4 guys that went multi innings right now (all converted starters) and they're all LHers, we could stand to have at least 1 RHer I suppose...

If they sign a couple of big name FA pitchers I wonder who of in the ranks of current starters do they transition to the pen? Otto was a reliever when he was drafted and converted to a SP, I would hate to put him back in the pen considering his performance from August on...
