deGrom-Senga-Perez would be downright scary. Get it done, Chris Young!
So I guess, according to their logic, Senga should really only be looking at signing with the Yankees, Astros, Braves, or Dodgers, because those are the only 4 teams in baseball who would be definite championship contenders on paper. Maybe the Padres. Even good teams like the Mariners, Rays, Phillies, and Cardinals have some weaknesses and aren’t light years ahead of the Rangers in terms of being a contender.I keep having people on Reddit clap back that the Rangers don't have a shot with Senga because he "wants to win now."
I'm assuming that Senga understands that him being on a team gets them closer to winning, and also if he wants 5-6 years, that he doesn't want to win in 2023 and then fart around for 5 more seasons.
I don’t think it’s stupidWhat if - and this is just my stupid conspiracy - but what if Texas is intending to sign Senga, and Heaney is viewed as more SP depth in case Senga isn't ready to pitch more than, say, 150 innings? SPs pitch every six days in Japan, I believe?

Got to believe the Angels are strongly in the mix. They were right up there before they imploded and they want to make Ohtani happy too.So I guess, according to their logic, Senga should really only be looking at signing with the Yankees, Astros, Braves, or Dodgers, because those are the only 4 teams in baseball who would be definite championship contenders on paper. I think Senga saying he wants to pitch for a contender does more to exclude certain bottom-feeding teams (Pirates, A’s, Reds, etc) than it does to rule out teams like the Rangers, White Sox, Giants, etc, who might have been mediocre last year but are on the path to contending in the near future based on acquisitions and farm systems.

Reynolds is under control until 2025 at a low cost, so I’m guessing quite a bit. I would suspect they would ask for either Leiter or White and the likes of Foscue, Harris, etc would be included in some combo.Wonder what it would take to get Reynolds and Bednar ?
Not likely major but yeah your guys who you list could have been let go to roster him. Legit. I hate to lose himThe Rangers lose Englert in the Rule 5 draft.
But we still have Howard, Sborz, Miller, King and Eli White on our roster.
This is a major fail.
