I am hoping Braves win it all.
Everyone deserves a shot at redemption even Wash. Maybe it will come back our way

Same here, but not for Wash (although I'd be happy for him). Braves were my Dad's team growing up, and I have friends in the ATL area as well. Went to a game there a few years ago, their scene is awesome.

It's good for the game to spread the championships around, in my opinion. Braves haven't won in decades. The other 3 teams have had a ton of success recently. If the Rangers aren't in it, then I like rooting for the team that's gone the longest without a title.

financially etc. toward the end the Rangers couldn't rid of him fast enough

I can't really hold A-Rod accountable for any of that situation. He performed as well as could possibly be expected while he was here.

And the money he got was not his fault. FO did not have to agree to it.

Interesting!!

As they rebuild, the Rangers have shown a willingness to adapt their approach (speaking of new hires and positions). Seems like I recall a game this year against the *'s where it was mentioned that the *'s had the highest rate of contact in MLB, and the Rangers had the worst.

I'm hoping the Rangers are looking at stuff like this when making trades and drafting players. They need to adopt the approach of the teams that are clearly making it work.

GB outs is one of IKF's main problems. I'm sure there are others but he comes to mind more so. The shift could also play into more GB outs.

"hit 'em where they ain't" is still the best advice I've ever heard.

Due to our losing record he does not see us landing anything but second tier.
Excuses perhaps!

I see a lot of articles saying the Rangers are planning to be very active in the FA market. They always mention who they’re probably NOT going after. Who ARE they going after with all that money??

If you're a big-name free agent who gets an offer (even a major offer) from the Rangers, you have to be very confident that the team is on the right track to contend by 2023. Otherwise, you'll get some real second-hand remorse about locking yourself in for at least a few more years of losing baseball when you could've joined a winner.

That's why I tend to think Texas will aim for the second-tier FAs at most. A team like Seattle or even Detroit can better promote itself as being on the cusp of contention, whereas the Rangers just lost 102 games.

He seems to be a lot less plugged in than our local media. I will go with the local guys.

Or perhaps a bias. I think our payroll is so low players should think we can add several winning pieces and we have a farm that should impress, especially the pitching
