rather see either IKF or Jung at 3rd {preferably Jung) so if we're going to rush into the season and Jung is going to be down for a while let's stick with IKF with Yonny or Andy or both on the bench. i could see our infield pretty set with

1st Lowe
2nd Semien
SS Seager
3rd IKF
C Trevino

with Heim, Ibanez and Hernandez on the bench

The muscle is deep in the shoulder area, below the rotator cuff and connects the torso to the arm. (Don't mix up the teres major with the teres minor, which is one of the four muscles of the rotator cuff.)

The teres major interacts with several other muscles, such as the latissimus dorsi, which make this kind of strain unusual for baseball players."

"Cody won a job out of spring training in the Rangers’ bullpen, but put up a 7.94 ERA and 5.46 FIP in 11.1 IP before landing on the injured list with shoulder soreness. He’s been out since April, and apparently now will be out until at least July, 2022."

"The specific procedure Cody is having is labral debridement surgery, which is done to remove damaged cartilage which is preventing a torn labrum from healing. Shoulder surgery for pitchers in general is ominous, and one has to be concerned about whether the 27 year old righthander is going to be able to make it back to where he was pre-injury."

Well Profar had the torn labrum so same area. The severity I don’t know

"Seise underwent needed shoulder surgery in May 2018 and never played that season. In 2019 he tore the labrum in his left shoulder while diving into a base, cutting his season short after only 21 games."

This is from a story last May regarding Corey Kluber's shoulder injury.

"Dr. Colvin’s take on what’s been made public on Kluber is the same as what the Yankees are saying: He might be off the injured list in just eight weeks (with four weeks rest, then four weeks buildup) if his injury is just a subscapularis strain. That’s what the first MRI indicated. The second could reveal a far-more-serious labrum tear, which can lead to nine-to-12-months on the injured list."

'“The labrum is the lining of the shoulder socket, so it’s one of the deepest structures in the shoulder,” Dr. Colvin said. “I would say the gold standard still for looking at a labral tear is an MRI with dye. That’s why they would be getting the second MRI, just so they can make sure that they have complete information on the shoulder. Doing the MRI with the contrast, they can get a better look at the shoulder labrum. The contrast helps to highlight if there are any tears there."

Brock Burke missed all of 2020 after surgery to repair a labral tear. He wasn't nearly the same for most of 2021 either.

It was the non-throwing shoulder that knocked Chris Seise out for the remainder of the season. He only had played in 21 games before the injury.
