That whole scene in The Jaya was very tainted with the fan interference, objects thrown and non enforcementIn related news, I got a 3 day ban from the MLB subreddit today. I mentioned how I think it's weird that Blue Jays fans think the Bautista HR is the greatest moment in their franchise history, then called some idiot a scrub when he tried to sound smart. Whoops.
think that because even if they reach an agreement within 5 days the schedule has already been affected because it would take at least 2+ weeks to get the agreement to all 1200 members of the MLBPA for them to vote on it. for any questions to ask and answered and then for all 32 owners to vote and ratify. it would seem the schedule has already been affected by a minimum of 4 to 6 weeksNearly two months into MLB lockout, when is it time to worry about spring training and Opening Day?
When baseball's work stoppage began, the one silver lining was there was plenty of time to reach a deal. As the calendar turns to February this week, that is no longer the case.www.espn.com
Feb. 15 (44 days from Opening Day): Pitchers and catchers report
When to worry: Feb. 8
Feb. 26 (33 days from Opening Day): Spring training games begin
When to worry: Feb. 19
March 31: Opening Day
When to worry: March 3.
And add in naming rights and probably a few other odds and ends. Of course some teams commit $200 million in salary before the season starts and then there are other expenses as well.

Real bad look for city and baseball
If Otto and Hauver do very much at all in the big leagues, then the Joey Gallo trade has a chance to be even better than the Teixeira trade, when judged in hindsight.
Me too.I actually have high hopes for both Duran and Smith.
Oh I remember seeing that HR. A classic. Seems like Mitch gave it up right?Definitely that. But it's not like the Rangers and Jays have some long rivalry with each other. And Bautista's HR wasn't a walk-off, and it was just the ALDS.
It's like those idiots have forgotten all about Joe Carter. Which seems dumb to me.
after further review i think we could easily lose the first month or 2 of the regular season. once the CBA is approved there would have to be time allotted to complete the normal off-season (there are a number of free agents including about half of those listed as being part of the top 30 when free agency opened). once the signing period re-opens, teams will want time to sign the right players and those players will want time to negotiate the right contract with the right team. then they'll want a full ST to make sure the players get into season shape.think that because even if they reach an agreement within 5 days the schedule has already been affected because it would take at least 2+ weeks to get the agreement to all 1200 members of the MLBPA for them to vote on it. for any questions to ask and answered and then for all 32 owners to vote and ratify. it would seem the schedule has already been affected by a minimum of 4 to 6 weeks
