If the new CBA allows players to hit free agency sooner, we may see a bigger influx of free agents next offseason than ever before. If the new CBA does call for that, I wonder what that would do to the Rangers plans when it comes to spending money. They might be tempted to put some spending on hold for a year, and then grab whatever they still need next year, when supply relative to demand is higher.
other than maybe effecting next year's plans i think the Rangers continue to move forward once the CBA is resolved. i think they have a step forward plan and will continue it. why suddenly take multiple steps backwards after already taking 2+ steps forward

Perfectgame.org has their new Top 300 Draft Prospect list out, but it can only be viewed by those with a premium subscription. Only a few things have leaked out. I really, really like how they have this ranked.

Elijah Green
Termarr Johnson
Chase DeLauter
Brooks Lee.

Jim Bowden came out with his offseason grades for the American League today. Only the Rangers, Mariners, and Tigers received an "A".

Adam Morris digs into Nathaniel Lowe's numbers and finds he has trouble with fastballs and is terrible with sinkers.
Practice pitch recognition, change his angle of attack by a few degrees and maybe a bat change might fix his issues, hopefully Ecker and Hyers can "fix" him (and many others on the roster)...

His offense is fine, but he had -15 defensive runs saved in CF last year in only 567 CF innings, that's terrible
sorry hadn't looked at defense stats. just looked at the teams that were interested in him and thought the Rangers should get in on him

I think we are going to see some discussion like this going forward, with the reputation those two hitting coaches have. That being said, I don't want to settle for lesser hitters, based on the coaches being able to improve someone. Also, whose to say they can't improve guys who are already better hitters. If we can get a better first baseman, I think we should. Whatever magic the new hitting coaches can have on Lowe they can use on an even better hitter. Just a theory, anyway

Fangraphs has this as their top draft prospects as of now.

Termarr Johnson
Druw Jones
Jace Jung
Chase DeLauter
Peyton Graham
Brooke Lee
Peyton Pallette
Elijah Green

That is about the lowest I have seen Green, but it wouldn't be Fangrapjs if they weren't substantially different from just about any other source.

wasn't aware of this but even with the lockout teams can still discuss trades they can reach agreements just not complete the trade until the lockout is over

Coaches that good might work with Guzman. Would be nice if he could hit but don't really see much happening.

Teams are interested in him because of what he does offensively for sure,

I'm not willing to give up a prospect load for a guy that's destined for a position (LF) we can fill internally, with potentially one of those prospects we'd be giving up (and that are close to the major leagues) or through free agency (Suzuki)

The more I think about it, I might be willing to try and fill LF in the next couple years with a prospect instead of Suzuki, but I also wouldn't be mad about getting Suzuki

Like Adolis, he made some adjustments a year ago that showed up in both the winter leagues and spring training as big improvements. Unfortunately, he never got to play on a regular basis before getting hurt last year, so we don't know if his adjustments were going to make a difference in the games that count or not.

Well I am hoping they stick for this year and beyond for Adolis.

Thinking it is not a sure thing DT or winter ball play is a sure thing for the future l.
Sure his past winter ball success is a disappointment for Guzman l.
This is where the older guys get squeezed by cheap younger players methinks
