This could be the beginning of those 6 to 8 top 20 prospects that I think could be trade within the next 8 months.![]()

If Freeman is leaving, the Rangers should open up the vault again, for him.I'm starting to doubt that Freeman returns to ATL. If that happens, that would be the third craziest thing about this insane market so far.
First place is obviously the Rangers going HAM. #2 is Scherzer to Mets for $43m a year.
the fact that they've taken Willie's number speaks volumes

That's what I think will happen with him and Duran, transition to OF rolesI would like to see Smith start getting CF play in spring training and then continuing to in Frisco. If he hits well again this year, he could be our starting CF by August.

I am thinking it is a greater possibility than when I mentioned it a couple of days ago.I think you're wrong about the 6-8 top 20, but also...
Yeah same here, I'm not as enamored with him as a lot seem to beit will take at least 6/180 to get him here, and he's 32. if it's me, I pass.

I just can't see them trading away 40% of the top 20 in such a short amount of time.
The pitchers in Cincy and Olson are all only under control for 2 years. They have their sights set on winning very soon. Trading away several prospects is the only way to do so.I just can't see them trading away 40% of the top 20 in such a short amount of time.
Don't get me wrong though. I don't think this is a wise course at all.I'll actually add that even if they trade for Matt Olson and another SP this offseason, I still don't see it taking 6-8 of the top 20. Just my feeling on it.
