Well heading into the holidays, wondering if we have a couple days to get a signing done
A lockout looms on the horizon

It would be a huge plus if Huff works out at catcher. We have a lot of MILB depth but wonder if I would trade it all for some of KC top prospects

Those guys fit their window just like Jung, Leiter and company fit ours. I imagine there are several teams who think they can trade for our top prospects and fix their team.

Yeah that makes sense.
But if we had Salvador Perez locked up long term and a prospect like Melendez I would be open to trading him for an area of opportunity.
We have a glut of middle infield prospects/3B.
Especially if we sign 1 or 2 SS.
I wouldn’t mind trading from our prospect depth for their prospect depth.

But if we had Salvador Perez locked up long term and a prospect like Melendez I would be open to trading him for an area of opportunity.

Or we could just draft Daniel Susac or Kevin Parada in the first round
Or maybe try to get Max Romero or Jimmy Crooks in the later rounds.

I hope we try to get JD Davis. He would be a solid DH. Very high OBP and good hitter over all.

There are a handful of players I would like to go after in trades. I figure the team will make at least one major trade this off-season.

I like the Ketel Marte idea.
