Just curious to hear from all of you.

What kind of stat line would you expect Jung and Ibanez to put up if they played roughly 140 games next year?

Me?

Jung- .265/.330/.450 20 HRs 25 doubles 70 RBI
Andy-.270/.320/.450 15 HRs 30 doubles 70 RBI
About the same expectation.

I think Ibanez #s are about where they will be at peak.
Jung I see getting even better in 2023 .275/.345/.475 25 HRs 30 doubles 85 RBI
No idea. Tall order.

So do I but $ dogs will work. Good luck Correa. lol

Really hope we’re not the team that signs Correa. He just seems more and more annoying as the weeks go by.
He finally had a healthy season and put it all together just in time for his walk year.
Hard to believe what your getting with him.

I'm not. Joshing with Ephland. Have made it clear earlier that Correa would not be good for the club sepecially as a leader for young players.

I would be glad to have him. He is going to be very annoying to opposing pitchers for a long time.

He’s talented, but is he going to be injured all the time and regress on defense and offense a little?
He already has rings and now he’s about to have the $$. I don’t see him being hungry.

he's got some suspect health issues. i don't mind an asshole player, but I do mind paying $35m/year to a dude who only has two seasons of 140+ games.

He could be more harmful than Gallo with 2 strikes.

Never know. It's easily possible he plays 140+ games a season over the lifetime of his contract and wins a couple of MVPs. and if the Rangers signed him that's what I'd hope for and would have no problems cheering for the dude. but if I'm picking for the Rangers, I like Seager first, then Story, then Correa third.

I would rather spread the money out than get Corea. Maybe my own bias but I have a bad feel for him.
He left Houston kind of saying the right things but he comes a cross as He first. He was never the leader of the Htown team and although his stats may be good for him I do not want ARod revisited

Feel somewhat the same. Much rather see Story at SS. IMO we would get a better all around player for our money.

If we sign him i would have no problem with it whatsoever. Every player can be looked at as someone who will regress at some point.

If we don't sign him that is fine as long as we get one of the three.

I think some, not all, of the negative things being said about him are preemptive excuses for the front office. I still remember the preemptive excuses for not signing Beltre.

And at the time Arod was definitely worth a massive contract. The dude was a beast.
Carlos Correa can be expected to be 5-30% better than avg and Arod at the time was 30-60% better. According to OPS+.
Arods floor was almost Correas ceiling.

pretty much, yeah. although an argument can be made that even if we signed Correa, that shouldn't stop the Rangers from signing anyone else.

I'm probably an outlier here, but the only issue I have with the A-Rod contract is that the team didn't put any other pieces around him. he earned every bit of that salary while he was here.

We are still likely going to end a CF and maybe a catcher. Huff may be a bit fragile. I am pulling for him

How do you feel about going after Starling Marte?
Or would you rather trade for a CF?
Or would you rather trade for a very athletic CF/RF and rotate Adolis and said player between CF & RF?

Yeah Arod definitely helped, but the Rangers didn’t help themselves by not surrounding him with more talent.

My experience in sports is that good players who lead the teams draw players to them. Those who aggravate repel.
Of course this is an opinion. The season is a grind and guys are human. If you have a team concept and others to pick you up, you can finish the marathon
