Very little going on around the league today.
one more minor frenzy with teams having to decide which Rule 5-eligible prospects to protectQO deadline has passed. Now the REAL frenzy can begin!!!
That is what I thought about it too.Less money for a SS then
It’s all about the leverageThat is what I thought about it too.
40-Man / Rule 5 Preview -- 11/17/2021
Before the season ended, a media member asked who I thought Texas would protect on the 40-man roster in advance of the Rule 5 draft. I threw out six names and haven’t hawww.newbergreport.com
Myself, I think you are asking us to do something that is impossible. I would hope Jung does better than that, but I don't see how anyone can be very sure about his slash line.Just curious to hear from all of you.
What kind of stat line would you expect Jung and Ibanez to put up if they played roughly 140 games next year?
Me?
Jung- .265/.330/.450 20 HRs 25 doubles 70 RBI
Andy-.270/.320/.450 15 HRs 30 doubles 70 RBI
About the same expectation.
I think Ibanez #s are about where they will be at peak.
Jung I see getting even better in 2023 .275/.345/.475 25 HRs 30 doubles 85 RBI
not sure about the 70 but i quickly identified around 10 that i would hate to see the Rangers lose in this Rule 5 DraftThe Rangers have around 70 players to consider. Josh Jung, Davis Wendzel, Owen White, Cole Winn, Luisangel Acuna, Dustin Harris, and Josh Smith, to name a few, are not eligible until 2022.
Unless they are rostered all these guys could easily need protection
