personally I'd rather stockpile talent and have it all sorted out later. I don't want to send a boatload of prospects away hoping that they'll be replaced by others. Because it will take a massive amount to get Reynolds here. Way more than you've proposed.
Sounds like time to relax and have another drink. lol

Have to believe the Yankees would part with 2 top 100 guys in Oswald Peraza and Luis Gil plus other to land Reynolds.
Wouldn’t be shocked if the Yankees landed him.

Would it make sense to put Adolis Garcia in CF full time?
With his speed, defense and power it would make it easier to live with the fact that he’s going to hit .225-.240. With a low OBP.
At least he would be covering a hard to cover spot.

Have to believe at-least one other pick throughout the entire 2022 draft would replace one other. Possibly pick 3-5
But could be a 7th rounder like Sam Huff. Or any other round.
That didn't happen this last draft and we probably won't even have a 2nd round pick.

I don't mind him out there. He needs to play full time somewhere in the OF.

I am still still keeping eye on Buxton if nothing in our system emerges this year. He is elite defensively and has big upside on offense
World class speed. If we could get him in a sign and trade would be great. But that is a huge long shot

Cameron Cauley, Aaron Zavala, Blain Crim, Acuna, Dustin Harris, Morrobel, Hauver, Efrenyer Navarez, Marcus Smith, Keyber Rodriguez, Cristian Inoa, Thomas Saggese, Mason Englert and Gavin Collyer.
Take Harris and Englert out if this group, and use the rest to trade then.

If it cost way more than I proposed then I agree.
Wouldn’t want any part of trading Jung, Winn or Leiter. Wouldn’t make any sense.
Vanasco, White, and Roby belong in this top tier. Foscue, Smith, Duran, Harris and maybe Huff are very close behind them. They are all very close to untouchable to me unless we find an insane GM to deal with.

That guy is like Hamilton. A world class talent that can't stay healthy.

I bet we already have a pitcher in our system who could replace Otto, and I believe we have players in our system who could replace the others as well.
Well, that wasn't in your original statement.

Of course, we have much better than Otto. Not so much with Foscue and Smith.

@DTC now is not the the time to start unloading prospects. We have zero pitching ready for 2022. Let’s see how we do first.

That is because you usually severely undervalue what it takes to trade for guys. You let your strong desire to improve the team in most every area, blind you to the cost in doing so.

Yes. Obvious risk. We shall see if he stays healthy this year.
To me this type of guy is needed in CF if healthy
And we can wait and see

I don’t think we will have a 2nd round pick either, that’s why I was thinking pick 3-5.
I believe our front office team is better at drafting now. They did make some horrible draft picks for awhile there. Mainly trying to acquire as many pitchers as possible and young high ceiling athletic high school kids, who of course dominated their avg high school peers.
Vanasco was a 15th rounder and Sam Huff a 7th rounder. I do believe prospects come and go.

I do realize that lol
But at the same time I feel like a good trade is always controversial, I’m just willing to offer my opinion/proposal more than others.
I feel like everyone is saying “whoa that’s way too much” while at the same time saying “ha, that’s not enough”

I just like bouncing ideas around.
Love to hear all of this boards opinions.
Y’all are smart and deeper thinking than the Facebook people lol

Right now, the Rangers need to focus on the FA market only, in my opinion. They need to get 2 big targets, and 2 smaller targets. Once all that is settled, and they're done shopping, then they can put trade feelers out. But I'm OK with no trades this offseason.

I would love to have one of the top 5 players in MLB for 4 years. And a true legit center fielder. That would be awesome.
I think Huff, Foscue, Smith and Otto could all be replaced through this years draft and a trade of IKF+.
Also if they plan on spending big there will not be as much of a need for those players due to roster space.
eh NO

I believe a few guys will step up this next season and be higher up on our list come end of 2022.
Cameron Cauley, Aaron Zavala, Blain Crim, Acuna, Dustin Harris, Morrobel, Hauver, Efrenyer Navarez, Marcus Smith, Keyber Rodriguez, Cristian Inoa, Thomas Saggese, Mason Englert and Gavin Collyer.
Not to mention our first 3 draft picks this coming up year.

Well this year our 1st pick will definitely replace one of them.(Foscue) Have to believe at-least one other pick throughout the entire 2022 draft would replace one other. Possibly pick 3-5
But could be a 7th rounder like Sam Huff. Or any other round.

As far as replacing the other 2… IKF + others could possibly replace one of them.

And for the 4th..
I bet we already have a pitcher in our system who could replace Otto, and I believe we have players in our system who could replace the others as well.

I would rather have him in his prime while he’s trying hard to get that Mega contract. Not after lol
still NO
