He buttoned up end of year.

Hate for Ranger players is counterproductive. I don’t like Donaldson or Bregman but Wiukd be fine if here.
All I am saying is
1. ST/April is new year and if he produces good. If not make other arrangements
2. A lot of bias on this board and what appears to be personal vendettas hoping he does bad singling him out when there is plenty of other issues including Elvis.

But each has his own opinion and I and sure people get tired of what appears me standing up for him but really all I am saying is give him another chance although he has not earned it for overall post contract

That being said the sour Ranger takes get old to me too
Counterproductive? Are you intimating that we are being productive on this board when we only think positive thoughts?

I think we all enjoy our discussions from time to time, but I don't really see us producing anything even when we are optimistic.

So we could sell him at the break? Hehe

have you seen this front office the last few trade deadlines?

They never move any major league assets. No big moves. Trading relievers is easy. Everyone can do that.

Lol. That would be 6 years too late to do that.

Will admit thinking of this as a perfect bridge. A lot of hurdles to land Arenado. Regardless, Going to need more of our homegrown players to do great to get elite again

I agree about our homegrown talent, but they are going to have to be supplemented with 2 or 3 really good to great free agents. That will require the GM to pay market price and for the market number of years. He has to get out of his trade day/get a bargain mentality. If you can successfully develop several players, then you can afford to pay what it takes for a couple of free agents.

I wonder if Castellanos would go to 1B or does Calhoun get the short end of the stick again.

I think 1B would be main spot. I think Calhoun is a fixture now
Unfortunately if we sign an everyday 3B. Solak may be th guy on the short end unless Odor tanks

odor tanking is 50/50 at worst.

Once they didn't get Odor to learn other positions this offseason, and they didn't trade him, Solak's future for 2020 was set. They will either do the second best thing and send him down or do the worst thing and put him on our bench.

I think there is an outside chance Solak plays 3B despite arm strength

I think they will get Frazier to play 3B

I also think the right thing to do would be to let Joey play 3B until one of the young guys are ready.
