Texas High School Class 5A State Title game attendance 54,437

Saw Union play Desoto this year at Dragon Stadium (Southlake Carroll's stadium). I was surprised Union was able to hang with Desoto, especially after Desoto scored within 1 minute right after the kickoff. Eventually Desoto gave Union a beatdown, 44-20, but it was only a 9 pt lead for Desoto going into the 4th quarter.

Yeah Union is young and a bit down this year. They where still able to make the title game though where Jenks gave them a similiar beat down to what Desoto did.

Jenks played Springdale, Arkansas a few years back when they where really good and Union has played Hoover, Alabama. These types of games are exciting and honestly these 2 schools need to do that because they don't get tested against the other 6A programs in Oklahoma.

I think Jenks this year could go toe to toe with Allen. But speaking of that game, WR Lodge kid from Cedar Hill was the best on the field in all 3 games there on Saturday... Kid played QB and pretty much single handedly beat Katy... He has an OU offer and is going to be a good one...

Tay looked outstanding and Tay Evans little brother (2015 OU commit) from Allen looked solid at LT all game long...

Arkansas high schools suck, IMO. I remember a couple of years back, Trinity played the #1 team in Arkansas and #5 in the nation and Trinity raped that team mercilessly 83-26. Yes, that was 83-26. I also watched Southlake Carroll play Evangel Christian from Louisiana who is supposed to be the powerhouse from LA and it was 41-0 Carroll, and that was the halftime score......

My HS sent a QB to OU. I watched him play a few snaps against A&M in norman one year. I think he ended up getting busted for drugs and kicked off the team. Wall was his name.
