For many of them, the McCoys are heroic figures.


To this day, they are constantly getting involved and being at the forefront of this disease.
I think Case and Colt McCoy did a heck of a job raising awareness and helping fund research.

UT owns the all time record. In the recent-ish past, its been close. Here are 5 yr intervals. Generally, over the past 50 yrs or so, OU has had the advantage. This, imo, is what makes this rivalry so intense. Both schools have runs. Depending on how long one has been a fan will determine their perspective.

last 10 yrs.: OU 5/UT 5
last 15 yrs.: OU 9/UT 6
last 20 yrs.: OU 10/UT 9/1 tie

For a program that has the money and resources UT has, its a bit surprising they only have 4 National titles. Even more surprising perhaps is only 3 B12 titles. (OU sports 7 NC's and 8 B12 titles).
