The Vikings have zero chance at a playoff spot without Teddy. Zero. I got the Bucs taking their spot.
That defense is still really, really good. And they still have Peterson. That should keep them in most games. The NFC is just so deep though...

Lame. Hate to see that.

Exactly. As a fan of an NFC West team, I secretly hope that Russell Wilson and Richard Sherman stop denying their true love for one another and spend the next few years backpacking through Europe together, but I wouldn't want either to get injured.

Any time it is a non-contact injury and they go down like that have to think it is season ending. Maybe a cramp hit him that hard but I'm guessing that is not the case. Really stinks with such a promising season ahead and Bridgewater looking to maybe be a bigger part of the offense. I really hope this isn't as bad as it sounds.

Whenever I see that I think "Achilles Tendon".

You can make a pretty good argument that was a 9 win TTL team last year with Bridgewater just looking at their record in 1 score game amongst other peripherals. I know their pythag was among the top 5.

The whole being taken out in an ambulance so quickly though makes me think there might be some nerve damage or something going on beyond just a regular injury. Don't usually rush them out in the ambulance so quickly considering they have so much equipment already there at the facilities.

That was the part that worried me too.

I honestly am surprised I haven't torn ligaments via non-contact with how herky jerky my joints and movements are.

That's especially strange considering it was non-contact.

Sucks, hope it's not serious. Never really want to see an injury like this to a up and coming player.

Scouts said he had smallish hands

He was also a bit on the smaller/skinny side for the position. Still that didn't stop the Rams from taking their guy this year which was a major issue some teams had with him. And we have seen so far in a couple of the preseason games where Goff has come up a bit slow after a big hit. Maybe the kid needs a year just to go live in the gym and add a bit of muscle to help protect his body.

Like after the Packers, Lions and Bears?

Do we really see the Lions or Bears as true competitors this year though? Maybe secures the division more for the Packers at this point so helps them but beyond that I think the other two teams are a bit on the rebuilding side of things. So probably helps the wildcard teams more than the divisional teams.
