and in the years Bosh was the #1, Manu wasn't coming off the bench, and scoring similar numbers despite sharing the floor with Parker and Tim. Had he been a one man show he would have scored a lot more.

Again... I'm not interested in speculation / what-if scenarios.

That aside, when was Ginobili ever considered a legit #1 option in the NBA... and FTR, I think he's got the potential, and as a result I'd be inclined to include SA's Big 3; however it's not a slam-dunk case like the Heat, 80's Lakers, et al.

Well that remains to be seen, of course... but either way I'm not arguing / debating what-ifs and speculation, though. In reality Anderson and Odom were complimentary scorers, not legit #1 guys.

Same argument can be made for Wade. Needed Shaq for title #1 and lebron for his next two.

When Lakers fans are disagreeing with you regarding the heat you know your thread is an failure

??

Bosh was a legit / undisputed #1 / perennial All-Star for 5 straight years in Toronto... this is 100% fact and not up for debate.

Just as Bosh isn't seen as a #1 with Lebron on the floor, Manu isn't seen as a #1 with Tim on the floor. He could have left and played for another team and been a legit #1.

I'm not a spurs fluffer, I'm a Spurs hater. But to deny that those three could all have been #1's in their prime is silly.

How about Harden/Durant/Westbrook?

What argument? Wade was the unquestioned #1 guy and a Top 3 player / legit superstar in the NBA for many years before joining forces with LeBron and Bosh... are you seriously questioning his status in that regard??

WoW...!!

That's another interesting trio... has Westbrook clearly established the ability to be a legit #1 though?

We can't say for sure of course, because he's played #2 to KD his entire career; however I would be inclined to say yes. Also Harden was coming off the bench in OKC; however he has clearly established himself as a #1 guy in Houston so yeah, I'd include this trio as well.

Bottom line Manu was never a legit #1... so all we can do is speculate. In Bosh's case we know as fact he was a legit #1.

Three? The Heat have 6 number one options. How could you forget about Greg Oden, Michael Beasley and Joel Anthony?!

... And didn't do jack shit but get knocked out of the first rd.

You can say the same for Melo... are you going to suggest he wasn't / isn't a legit #1??

That aside, take a look at Bosh's supporting casts in Toronto... in particular the #2 / #3 guys:

06: Mike James / Morris Peterson
07: T.J. Ford / Anthony Parker
08: Ford / Parker
09: Bargnani / Marion
10: Bargnani / Turkoglu

lol

Really...??

Just because he was the #1 option on a borderline lottery team, doesn't make him a LEGIT one.

So Melo isn't a legit #1 either, eh... and for maaaany years you could say the same about Garnett (using your logic).

Suffice to say I disagree.

Bosh was a legit / undisputed #1 for half a decade before joining the Heat (and willingly sacrificing his individual numbers).

Bosh is a legit #1. He isn't a HOF player but he is a #1

Your question lacks any basketball history or common sense. Most dynasty teams were because of three stars playing together.

Hell, I'd take Bosh on the Suns any day. If you're talking about being the number 1 option on a borderline playoff team, then Bosh is a no. 1 option. But on a title team he's a 2-3 option depending on his supporting cast.

Its been 2 for most of my life. Then the Celtics made the move for KG and Allen, made Lebron feel bad in a playoff series and we got the Heat's Big 3 as well.

I dont think Big 3s are going to be ridiculously common. I think a lot of contenders are going to be built like the Warriors, OKC and the Pacers going forward.
