Derek with 3 straight games of 7 innings or more with no walks, unbelievable for him. Ties a record with Fergie Jenkins and only the second time its ever happened in Rangers history. Great Job Derek

He is in mighty fine company there. He has been great since returning.

Derek and Neftali both looking very good. That brings back some memories.

It is way too early to give up on Choice. We had a very bad environment for young hitters this season. Until we get a better hitting coach I am not giving up on Choice or Elvis. Getting rid of the manager was the first thing that needed to be done. Now we need a new hitting coach.

Elvis has to fix the bonehead shit, getting picked off and not executing a simple freaking run down is just unacceptable. Wish Bogar would address that stuff now and sit his ass for a week

I sure hope we land a couple proven guys that could fill those spots in the rotation vs. trying to pull pieces off the scrap heap hoping they will all of the sudden have comeback years

A trade for Latos or Leake is possible. There have been reports they might move one of them.

I would welcome either one. Leake can be inconsistent though at times but he can also be lights out

Me too. Obviously Latos would be an awesome addition. He bolsters the front of our rotation then you could sign Santana or someone like that to be the 4.

Angels offense woke up...They are scary. Their rotation won't matter if they continue to put up runs like this...YIKES!!!

Yep and it seems Oakland has quite the opposite happening to their offense

A's lose and are now only one half game from being out of the playoff picture all together.

The A's offense has gone dormant since AS break. The Cespy trade has not done them favors aside from Lester being solid pitching wise. Coco Puff has been terrible as well as Moss. Donaldson has had a bad year, Reddick has done nothing and they added Sam Fuld who is not an offensive juggernaut. Jaso has been hurt and there just seems to be no cohesiveness to that club since the trade. Kazmir has scuffled as well as Sonny Gray on the pitching front, and Hammel and the Shark were never really lights out pitchers before. Glad they have sucked, hope it gets worse for them and they miss the postseason.

It's started:

Minor league hitting instructor Harry Spilman, special assistant Tony Fernandez and amateur scout Jeff Wood will not return to the organization next season. Fernandez could end up with San Diego in a reunion with Don Welke, who was integral in bringing him to the Rangers.

I feel so bad for them.....NOT!!! I want us to stick a dagger in the A's over the next couple weeks so they miss the playoffs altogether...sorry Gentry and Soto...
