His swing is so long. He's constantly behind in the count and doesn't have the bat control to fight off pitches. He looked so good early on. What a disappointment.

I thought he had the bat speed and quick hands to counteract that swing, but apparently not

Agree and if he is not able to get it going on offense then forget it because he is so average on defense.

I was right there with you guys. I haven't completely given up on him. Hopefully we get a new hitting coach and maybe he gets him to cut that swing down. He'll certainly get another shot in ST. The thing I hated was he was so hot in ST and then sat to start the year for days. He deserved to start at DH.
