If you remember they had Forbes ranked over Jones the olineman and were willing to give up a 4th to go get Forbes. I dont think it's over kill. They wanted to upgrade the secondary and I think they did that. They must have viewed McCain as a huge loss in the secondary. Did you really want Richard Wildgoose out there on 3rd and 8?

I see your point about the Oline but they are high on Charles/Paul and brought in Gates at center. Still drafted two olineman. It's still a huge question if the interior oline will perform this year. Will Charles/Paul, Gates, and Cosmi be better than last year's group of Norwell, larsen, and Martin. Let's hope so.
who the team has ranked is of no consequence to me . all that means is that they are wrong with their rankings . justifications for their rankings and what the feel are also of no consequence to me . moving up to get a stick figure is just poor drafting dean

if you draft stick figure , fine , if you draft martin , fine but both when your o/line is urine ? and who died and left wildgoose as the last man standing ? i have fuller , BSG , stick figure , johnson , castro hughes before i even get to wildgoose who was on the team when they were 4th overall mind you

charles is no different then BSG when it comes to injuries , in fact hospitals in DC now are calling their ER 's sadiiq charles rooms because he is injured so much . so how does charles not need to be planed for for injuries but BSG does ? weare lucky if paul works out to be a stop gap starter let alone an answer ( now i do like the kid but lets be real )

Of course. I just think with this defense we don't have to put a huge load on Howells shoulders. He has the weapons to be successful, the question is will the oline hold up and can Howell process the new offense efficiently and not make bone head plays.
the defense has to play as advertised , the last time they were in this position they folded up like a house of cards . again i expect good things from them but stick figure and martin need to produce

I could not care less about who Rivera has ranked on his draft board. He has proven he struggles with gauging talent level in the draft. He has hit on some picks, but has struck out on many others. He also had Chase Young ahead of Herbert...what does that tell you? The drafting of Jamin Davis proves that again. Dean needs to stop pretending that Rivera is Howie Roseman.

If Rivera is excited about Charles, we are in trouble. It would literally make no sense.

I am looking forward to Harris high-fiving fans at the stadium instead of having his private secret police quickly escort him out an all-black motorcade

im not justifying anything. im saying what the team did and they really wanted Forbes. Its your opnion that you think the line is urine right now. They could surprise, you never know. If everything turns to shit, RR knows he is gone. I agree Charles gets hurt, but they did draft olineman.

Per the report from Craig Hoffman:
Why are we not talking more about two wasted draft picks (in essence) Stromberg & Daniels? Those now seem like luxury picks with possibly 5th & 6th round picks Henry and Rodriguez being better players. Could management have drafted some guys who could help this year at say, LB or TE? I understand depth is important so possibly they were drafted for future purposes knowing full well Gates and a combination of Paul/Charles would start at C/LG.
