Rasmus, if he is there. Give him a year to learn under Kimmo and let him stud up the defense for a long time. He is there in 1/2 the mocks I see.

I'd be fine with a ristolainen pick. He seems pretty high quality to me too. Ristolainen and pulock will bring a smile to my face, nurse, zadarov, and morin will irritate me. Shinkaruk is probably the only forward slated around there that I'd be Ok with.

I'd switch mackinnon / Jones and pulock/ristolainen, other than that, agreed.

Regarding the 2nd round, I'm hoping for McCoshen, Bowey, de la Rose, Lehkonen, Duclair, Heatherington, or Theodore. (Bowey or Theodore being my first choice)

A bit broad for my 2nd round choices, but they all appear to be potential solid pickups.

de la rose and theodore are the only ones ive read about, and i'd like both of those.. if theodore slips that far that'd be amazing

13 days until the draft i hope we get what we need. Anyomne feel we may use the pick in a trade.

I would be shocked (and appalled) if they traded the 1st. It's pretty obvious they need young talent to bring up.

How about for a young very skilled offensive defenseman and NHL ready like Krug

krug only had 1 good playoff series.. sure it's promising, but i wouldn't give up anything that valuable for him based on a few good games.. i think that is part of the flyers problem lately, they see a shining moment from a player and expect they can replicate that year in and year out (see: talbot, max)..

in their defense, that's why it's so hard to trade or sign all of your talent. you give up value or sign guys to ridiculous contracts and hope that they can replicate the play that made them a commodity.. if they regress at all, the team that just acquired them is fucked. when you build through the draft, you can be patient because you didn't give up a ton of value for said player.

I've seen Theodore all over the place from 25-45. We will likely need a big of luck on our side to grab him, but I won't totally rule him out.

If the Flyers can walk away from this draft with one of Nurse/Ristolainen/Pulock/Morrissey and one of McCoshen/Bowey/Theodore I'll be absolutely amped.

@sunterryjones: Sure sounds like Craig MacTavish has a couple of deals done and is just waiting for the Stanley Cup to end so he can announce them.

Well apparently we were interested in trading up for Nichushkin, and as awaz said on the mainboard (Which I agree with) I bet the Flyers are high on Nurse.

I no longer have any interest in Nurse. I know my opinion means nothing to the Flyers brass, but I think they are in love w the genes of Nurse's background. If we move up, it has to be for one of the top studs. In other words, please stay at 11 boys. This offseason has been exciting and has me pretty concerned so far. It started w the asinine Streit contract.

Let the Leafs have him. No need to get into a bidding war w a RFA.. Makes nonsense, especially when there will be half a dozen of starting calibre goaltenders available via FA.
