Any chance that the Flyers may target Richards? Buyouts will be Briere and Bryzy.

Im hearing around these parts that if Torterella stays they may give richards one more year to see if they want to amnesty him. They are blaming the lockout and his involvement in negotiations as to why he was out of shape and never able to get back to his form.

The Rangers messed w their team chemistry when role players like Prust, Dubinsky, and Asimov left via Nash trade IMO.

Edit: Prust was not part of Nash deal, but still Prust was very good in his role w the Ragdolls.

Its funny they have a defensive coach a total defensive system and they trade away all the guys that can play a defensive role. Gotta love those moves they made.hahahahahaha They suck!!!!

How is it Glen Sather is not under pressure? I understand that Torts isn't exactly the warmest guy around, but I think Sather has benefitted from his days in Edmonton. He really hasn't done that much in NY,no? I think Neal Smith did a better job than what Sather has done thus far.

So now that Torts is out, does Richards stay or go? Maybe he can coach and play?

I hope Richards stays i have a good time making fun of Rags fans about how much he gets paid and how little production he produces.

Sather is smart he never does any interviews EVER. He's never in the spotlight so all the negativity never shines upon him. Its like out of sight out of mind with him.

They were talking about Richards on the Sirius Hockey channel yesterday. Said Rags were seriously thinking about dropping him and that he could then be signed cheaply. They did mention the Flyers being a team that should consider it.

Really? I think that would be a low ball offer i would think they would be looking for to proven players at the very least.

I agree this would be low ball. The last time Quebec/Colorado did a blockbuster trade it worked out well for us getting Forsberg and 4 others(including Ricci and Duchesne) plus 2 1st round picks that were used to take Adam Deadmarsh and Thibault (later traded for Patrick Roy) and $15mil cash FOR Eric Lindros.

Essentially this allowed us to win 2 Cups.

I bet Sakic and Roy would be interested in entertaining trade scenerios, but I would be happy with signing Jones.

Either way for you guys is a win win. You either get a couple of players and a pick or seth Jones. I dont see anything wrong with either.

exactly. when they made the nash trade that's exactly what i though.

plus, nash isn't the super-star he's paid as. he was far and away the best player on a bad columbus team. and performed well on crosby's wing in international play. but pascal dupuis also performs well on crosby's wing.

What do you think Richards would accept to come over?

i would be intrigued by richards if the rags do buy him out.. the flyers just dont have the cap space, even if he got like 2 mil

I watched everyone of the playoff games the rags played this year and he was invisible from game 1 through game 12. They are calling him a coach killer :laugh3:
