Hard to say. Va Tech's issue has always been recruiting. The blue-chippers just don't go there for the most part. If Fuente can change that a bit, then who knows? Beamer and Foster were always able to make a heck of a product out of fairly cheap groceries and must have really had an eye for talent, because they remained very competitive for a long time.

Again, tough to say where they'll be in a year or two. Hope for the best. The ACC is a conference that REALLY needs to root for each other to do well and grow as a football conference. Honestly its why I don't mind Clemson carrying the torch for a bit while we sort out our issues. We'll take it back when we're ready...

Yea - I was pretty amazed about how many 4 stars he was able to land in 2008 though. That was pretty sick. In one year, you guys went from averaging about three or so 4-star recruits to ten 4-star recruits. The dude can definitely get it done in recruiting. But I just wanted to prove to the Nole that it isn't all about getting 5-star recruits.

It's all about getting a blend of 5 and 4 star recruits. 1) You don't have Saban and 2) you ain't winning the ACC with 3/4 star recruits at Va Tech. Sorry Miami says hello

Oh yeah, Saban didn't start pulling off huge #1 recruiting classes until 4 or 5 years after he came to Alabama. We had some good ones, but seems like many people think he came into Alabama from day 1 and recruited only #1 classes.

Miami's choke to Pitt and blowout loss to Clemson tells me that Richt is still Richt. Va Tech vs. Miami will be a battle for the top of that division each season for awhile I think. Richt simply isn't a good enough coach to dominate anyone or anything IMO... He's that guy that will get you to 10 wins, but never win the big one.

You have been destroyed all day by people. I guess i can see why you are short now.

VT has won the ACC before and we will win again. Enough said.

And don't BS everyone with the "blend" statement. I pretty much destroyed your argument that one needs 5 star recruits to win their conference using Saban. Most feel fairly certain that Fuente will do it again for VT. Hell, I could have pulled the Beamer card for winning the ACC in 2004, 2007, 2008 and 2010. In those years we had only 1 real five star that panned out for us -- Tyrod Taylor. Oh yea, and the last ACC Championship we won was when we beat the Noles.

C'mon man.. Va Tech really? Have you looked at Miami's recruiting class? You might beat them on a cold day up in Va Tech land, but you ain't winning an ACC title. Still waiting on that strain of weed
