Surprise Stars For 2013 Season

This board is getting a bit... Stale lately.

New conversation: Who is your ONE surprise star for 2013? There's always a handful.

Mine is Harvey Jackson.

6'2" 210 lbs Junior out of Missouri City, Texas.

3 star out of HS with double digit offers including Missouri, Oklahoma St., and Arizona St.

He seems like the classic Junior year break out season player. This is his 4th year in Bo's defense and his 4th year in the Nebraska weight room. Kid looks like a tank right now.

Looks the part, knows the defense, has shown flashes. Very interested to see if he can help clean up the trash the young front 7 is going to leave out there.

WR corps is so deep it'll be hard for him to get PT, but he might be the most talented player on this team period from what I'm hearing.

It'll be tough to keep him off the field.

I think that they have to find a way to use him. I would love to see a Bell Moore reverse. or a bell turner reverse pass to martinez or moore, but Some package maybe the diamond formation with moore in it.

Defense I am really waiting to see what the LBs bring to the table Rose and afalava.

How do you think teams would be if they could only play with players from there state

Santos. Becomes are new, David lite in a sense. In the PT he's gotten so far the kid has been in on every pile....always around the ball it seems like.

I say he breaks out, becomes are leading tackler, and becomes the D's true leader

I agree with chuck on Santos being the surprise guy this season.

It's perfect too cuz then ESPN can go and do a special sad story on College Gameday about Santos and how he had a bottle of Jim Beam crushed over his head and then he turned around and rose to the top.

Coaches been raving about him he would have been a peso back like hagg if we were in the big12
He's back up safety or third option And he might be nickel maybe.

On offense I wanna say Zo but that if we use him in packages but turner says he is stupid fast and if can learn the playbook he will be a force. But which ever rb steps this year besides AA or cross will be my vote

I think rose could break out too. Jonathan that is....


On offense I say it's one of the guards....I can't even take a guess as too who cause our depth and current starters and 2 deep seem fluid on the line pretty much all the way up until gameday

What about Big Mo our juco cb.

Ankle injury hurt him all last season but coaches said he was gonna start if not for that injury.

Something tells me our cb our gonna have to be on island alot bc of the front seven.
