Yea. I don't know what to think of Hargrove.

the coaches apparently already love the intensity he brings to the front line and the influence he has on his teammates with that intensity.

I honestly had no idea that the rookies had to show up for a mini already. This month better not fly by like April did. I love May, and so far the weather has been shitty.

Speaking of, time to go outside.

from packers.com

When McCarthy spoke on Thursday night to the "rookie" group - which includes eight draft picks, 14 undrafted free agents, one pre-draft signee, 29 tryout players and seven holdovers from last year's practice squad - he gave them a startling number. He told them that on average last season, the Packers' 45-man game-day roster included 27 players who were either selected in the final two rounds of the draft or came to the Packers via "street" free agency.

This was a 15-1 team, mind you, but McCarthy wasn't kidding. For the NFC divisional playoff game last January, the number was exactly 27. For the season opener last year against the Saints, it was 24.

wow. that is fucking incredible.

Nice clip Johnny, thanks. That really is amazing. I hope these guys are motivated. This team could stay in the hunt for a long time.

I like the fact that all draft picks were signed and at the "mini"!

[one good thing about the hold-out]

There's been some great interviews of the rooks at camp lately. They are all really well spoken. They were working Perry out in Clay's position. Heh heh heh. Dom Capers is chomping at the bit. I bet he's outlining new blitz packages as we speak. The return of the psycho package? Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Rodgers, Matthews, McCarthy in the front row of Dancing With The Stars was pretty cool. Even though I don't care for the show that much, it is actually pretty interesting to see the newb dancers picking up some moves and style. Donald still seems kind of stiff to me, if I were voting for real I'd vote for the blond or the other guy. But if he wins that's great. I hope he's got at least one more big season in him.

so drew brees may skip mini camps because of his contract situation.

i have no problem with players getting their money, and i actually like drew brees.

but after all the crap arod took last year for not leading team workouts during the lockout, and brees was praised so much for doing just that, doesn't it seem a bit inconsistent now that he won't practice without a contract? ostensibly he was not under contract during the lockout. am i right about that?

i know i shouldn't really care, but it kind of irks me.

Did Rodgers really take that much shit? I guess I didn't see or hear most of it.
