I am just being a smart ass, (dont mind me) :heh: but no! Not better.
The Steel Curtain gave up zero points & in fact outscored the Vikings Offense in their game.
& didnt make your top 5.

But then who do You take out?

The Broncos destroyed The MVP and high Powered offense.

The Seahawks dominated Peyton And that Record setting offense....

This is a kinda my hot takes but it has merit IMO

Look back at 2015 and how dominant Cam and tge Panthers were.

Fuck they made Carson Palmer, Larry Fitz and the Cardinals look like Norfolk State in the NFC Championship.

But the Broncos came in and Dissected them Surgerically.

That's what makes for a great topic doesn't it? The Jets held the 18-point favored Colts to seven points. The Raiders kept the league's highest scoring team the Redskins 24 points under their game scoring average. The Patriots held the St. Louis Rams to 14 points under their scoring average. The Giants held the Patriots 23 points below their scoring average. The Seahawks kept the Broncos to 30 points below their scoring average. Denver kept the Panthers 21 points below their scoring average. The Rams weren't even the highest scoring team in 2018 and the Patriots held them to 30 points below their average. Tampa Bay kept the Chiefs 21 points below their average. Then there's the total domination on the field by the Steelers, Bears and Ravens.
I have 3 points:

13-3 final score

The question is good... the answers though, they are oblivious.

Correct answer: 2013 Seattle Seahawks

First play on offense by the 2013 Denver Broncos was a safety. It was all downhill from there. (Btw, first Super Bowl to start that way too.) Oh right, who were those 2013 Denver Broncos? Nbd, just the #1 offense that season and best in NFL history to that point.

Now, others will say the predictable '85 Bears or '00 Ravens... just, no. Who did the '85 Bears play? A VERY fluke Patriots team that never played in a Super Bowl before. Who did '00 Ravens team play? Another FLUKE team, the Giants. BOTH the Patriots and Giants of '85 and '00 were FAR from favorites like the '13 Broncos.

It's just that simple. #GoHawks.

Gave up eight points and more than 300 yards of offense. Other SB defenses did far better, shutting out if not outscoring their opponent's offense and gave up FAR less yards.

Great performance. However they did have the benefit of cold weather and artificial noise...two things that should not have been present in a SB. Playing the Super Bowl at MetLife Stadium was one of the worst ideas in NFL history.

Gave up 8 points and 300 yards of offense. I forgot 8 points is the most given up in a Super Bowl.

Huh? Wtf are you talking about???

Again, they played the BEST OFFENSE IN NFL HISTORY in that Super Bowl. The 8 points was when they were already down 36-0... the last play if 3rd quarter. In other words: garbage time score.

Seeing THAT was your only knock on the Seahawks in that Super Bowl... oh, and "it was cold" and "fake noise"??? Jfc, you shouldn't have posted ANYthing.

Superbowl LI in 2017, Patriots against the Falcons. The Patriots were down by the dismal score of 28-3 with just over a quarter to go. The defense just took over, kept getting the ball back to the offense, and Brady and Company started scoring. Atlanta didnt get another point and the Patriots won 34-28 in overtime.
The defense just took over?

Edelman Catch, James White 20 points, Brady 43 of 62 and 466 yards, Danny Playoff Amendola, No Knees Mitchell being absolutely clutch when it mattered.....
